Dragonfly Collection has been established as a gratitude for nature. Caring for the environments state means a great deal to me. I aim for using the fabrics and other material as thoroughly as possible to reduce waste.
Often completely usable material ends up in waste, because it has already served its original mission or it has been left over from the intended use. These left overs from upholstery are used in producing Dragonfly Collection -products.
Co-operation with local upholstery shop Tikkiverstas, lets me gather the material that would otherwise be wasted. Upholstery fabrics are quality materials, with strong and beautiful finish. It would be a shame not to use them thoroughly. I also plan my projects and intend to cut the fabrics well so that most of it is used.
Local upholstery fabric remnants are used to produce the Dragonfly Collection products.
Let the colors shine
I enjoy, especially in summer time, the opportunity the Dragonfly Collection brings along with it, to play with the colors.
Even though black and white are a great combination in my taste, and the base colours of my products, sometimes it just feels so good to combine some colors with them. This chance has been given to me in forms of Dragonfly Collection. As in the mean, luxorious quality remnants of local upholstery fabrics get to extend their fabulous life instead of ending up increasing the environmental impact.

Dragonfly Collection has been named after a skillful pilot, which also can be seen in such beautiful colors.
Dragonfly has flown on the earth longer than almost any other living being, hundreds of millions of years already. Because of this sustaining persistence, dragonfly is the absolute choice to symbolize the collection which aims to sustain the planet’s health for generations yet to come and reduce the environmental impact by minimizing the fabric waste.
There are variations in dragonflies life’s length. Some species may live only few days. This can also discribe the products of the collection due to the variations in the availability of materials.

Magnificent flyer
The fly of a dragonfly is a skillful performance. With their four wings they can fly in place, forwards, backwards, and sideways. The speed of a flight can reach almost 60 km/h.
Lifespan
Dragonflies have flown the planet already 300 milj. years. As such they can be referred as the champions of surviving. They have outlived four extinctions. Its early life dragonfly spends as a maggot in waters, and as an adult flying and preying. The adult life of a dragonfly my last from few days to months.
Available limited time only
The material of upholstery remnants may be available only in small pieces or, sometimes in a larger patch. It all depends on what the customers of the Upholstery Shop have selected, the amount their orderes have demanded and the Shop’s own projects they use the materials.
On behalf of all this, the products of Dragonfly Collection may be available only in single pieces and the limited time. Some product might still return later, if the suitable fabric comes available again.
Or, we may not gain access to suitable fabric again, and the product will remain as a flight of a dragonfly.
